Getting back at it

Its been a while since I’ve written on my blog here.  As a part of me getting back at it.  I’m going to start and write more.  You might wonder why?  The answer is simple, I like to write, however finding the time to do it is the issue.  That changes now.  From this point forward you’ll be able to find interesting things that are going on with me, while I’ve began a new journey.  That journey being my life here in Germany. That’s right for those of you that don’t know, I live in Germany right now.  It is a lovely place to be, I think everyone should make a trip to Germany or somewhere in Europe at some point in your life. So this is my start.  My return to something I like to do.  I admit this really isn’t anything special, but check back and you’ll see so much more.

Get some free food at KFC

In what has to be the best thing coming, KFC is giving away a piece of their Kentucky Grilled chicken tomorrow (Monday April 27, 2009).  Their site has some very interesting things up about the grilled chicken.  You don’t need any coupon, just come in and get your free piece of chicken.   I’m thinking they will most likely run out of chicken by 8 or earlier, then after that, you will have a lot of unhappy people, but that is the way of free things.  Most KFC’s are open from 11am to 10pm.  Enjoy some free bird!

Its been a while

In my quest to start blogging more, I have decided to finally start writing again.  It is always now possible for anyone to read about things that are going on in Baltimore via my column on the, where I am the Baltimore Live Music Examiner.  Something that I am just beginning to explore and use for one of my major goals, which is educating.  I want everyone to know something.  It is really important for me to make sure that someone learn something new.   What can you learn from me.  Well, soon you will be able to order or at least find out how to get some of my excellent food.  For those of you that don’t know, I was on Emeril Live almost two years ago now, for my recipes, Jake’s Explosive Double Chocolate Chip Turtle Cheesecake.  Soon I will be attempting to start writing recipes and get them out to those who want them.  I will also soon be doing so many other things.  Look out for what I have coming.

Live from New York, it could have been better, if it was next Saturday night

The writers strike is over, so guess what is back?  That’s right Saturday night Live was back in the saddle tonight.  I however think they probably should have given themselves another week to practice.  The standard debate opening during election season opened the show.  I have not seen a worse opening in years.  The big buzz was about how Lorne Michaels (Executive Producer) was looking for an Barack Obama.  I guess Fred Armisen was a somewhat logical choose.  Who in this years cast could really play him?  I however do not think he really practiced that out very well either.  Armisen was stiff like Obama comes off sometime, but his voice was not really close.    I must say though, the writing of the love fest for Obama was great.  The appearance of Obama girl was very cute, along with the inference that the media just loves Obama.   “Senator Obama, are you OK?  Can I get you anything?”  A very nice line uttered by Will Forte, who was playing Jorge Ramos, the Univision questioner. …
